Welcome to Felines of Chicago
Felines of Chicago is an all volunteer based 501(c)3 organization focused on being a support for rescues, networking cats out of open admission shelters and foster recruitment through supportive partnerships with licensed rescues in the Midwest.
In addition, we provide rehoming assistance, community cat placement, local shelter improvements, education and more in order to create a more feline furriendly Chicago.
What We Do
-

Foster Assistance
One of the biggest things we offer is rescue & foster assistance. Fostering can be hard on the heart & many cannot afford to feed & maintain another pet. We are here to provide education and emotional support for those really hard days.
-

Networking
Felines of Chicago works with licensed rescues and approved fosters to secure lifesaving placement for cats facing euthanasia deadlines, as well as strays, owner surrenders, and other at-risk felines in need of help. Through collaboration and coordination, we network these cats to safety and give them a second chance.
-

Support
We fill the gaps in the rescue world — stepping in where rescues, fosters, shelters, and owners can’t. We coordinate transport from shelter to rescue, help fund and manage medical cases so cats can become adoption-ready, and provide vital resources to support our community.
Fosters Needed!
Foster care has been shown to enhance kitten health and survival rates while also reducing adult cat euthanasia in shelters. By providing a safe, low-stress environment for animals to recover and grow, foster homes help shelters save space, lower disease risk, and improve adoption outcomes. Every foster family truly makes a measurable, lifesaving impact.
Support our growth
Felines of Chicago is a 501(c)3 non-profit and volunteer based organization that receives no public funding. We rely solely on public donations to continue our efforts & help make a difference. Be a part of the movement.
